I recently worked on a layout for a Christening for a sweet baby girl for photographer Tom Brodigan - of Brodigan Photography. This was a very elegant and fun event for Tom’s clients - and as you can see the dogs enjoyed it too!

I’ve been meaning for a while to post this fun little splash page that Jennifer Rau & I worked on for her redesigned website. She wasn’t really super thrilled with the direction that her splash page was going - although she loved her new site itself & her existing logo … so I listened to what her needs/wishes were and sketched up some versions of the splash page. This was the one that was ultimately chosen. Upon mouse rollover the white stroke of the circular photographic image highlights to her signature green color - along with the word’s title. The stars must have been aligned … because I designed two albums - for two different photographers - the very same week - for a wedding at the incredible Bacara Resort & Spa in Santa Barbara, California. I was truly spoiled with the images that I was working with that week and had a lot of fun!!! It was the day before Mother’s Day when the doorbell rang …. in came this INCREDIBLE edible fruit gift basket arrangement … I thought ‘wow-this is a big surprise for Mother’s Day … how sweet’!!! Chad and Malia both looked shocked themselves … turns out - this came from our clients’ Meg & Charles of Meg Baisden Photography - www.megphoto.com!!! I still can’t get over how thoughtful that was - thank you SOOO much! As you can see from my snaps … Malia is gorging herself on the ‘fruit flowers’ - she had her spot in line before the cellophane came off.

BTW … after working for a company that owns ALL of the Maui Pineapple plantations on Maui … and the coveted Maui Gold Pineapples …. these little pineapple flowers were the most delicious pineapple I have had in a long time since we moved away from the islands …. To continue babbling … I don’t think these were Maui Golds … too pale of a yellow in color … but they were just as nummy!
Everyone knows … bookkeeping is not fun. However, today I received this fun note from Laszlo of Laszlo Marton Studios …. he says he isn’t good at drawing … but I think this fish is SO fun [and a little cheeky ….] !!! Thank you so much Laszlo!!

Audra Colpitts of Audra’s Photography - BC, Canada - was kind enough to take the time to send me shots of the AsukaBook EX book that I recently designed for her. I recently had the pleasure of designing an album for fellow-Arizonian Anne McCarthy - One Fine Day Photography. Chad, Malia and myself want to thank you so very much for your kind words of support and encouragement for our tough day yesterday. We really appreciated it and it helped A LOT. We are nervous first time-parents and with our first surgery experience - well it was rough. She’s doing great though, her spirits are wonderful. She just looks like she’s had a boxing round with Mike Tyson - poor little one. Luckily she’s not even 3 so she won’t remember any of this.
